01 · OUD
Certain Aquilaria trees can form dark, aromatic resin-rich heartwood after injury. That fragrant wood, agarwood or oud, became treasured across generations for incense and perfumery.
Wood becomes resin. Resin becomes ritual.
02 · THE RITUAL
Across South and Southeast Asia, the Gulf and beyond, agarwood became part of hospitality, ceremony and personal scent. Burned as fragrant wood or distilled into oil, it was experienced slowly and deliberately.
Not just a fragrance. A way of marking a moment.
03 · MUSK
Historic perfumery prized natural musk for its warmth and persistence. Modern perfumery usually recreates the musk effect with non-animal aroma molecules, creating a soft, clean, warm and skin-like finish.

Your kit gives you six materials across top, heart and base. Smell them first, test combinations on strips, then compose your oil blend only when the direction feels right.

SMELL LIKE A PERFUMER
Your kit includes scent strips so you can test combinations without committing oil to the bottle.
Write the scent name at the dry end. Use one fresh strip for each fragrance so the materials stay easy to compare.
Touch or roll a little fragrance onto the opposite end. You want the strip scented, not soaked.
Wave the strip gently about 2–3 inches from your nose. Smell one at a time and give your nose a short break between materials.
Hold 2–3 chosen strips together and smell them as one. Add or remove a strip until the balance feels right, then move to the oil blend.
Start simple. A base + heart + top is enough to make a beautiful first direction. You can always add complexity after smelling the first combination.

SMELL BEFORE YOU POUR
Hold the selected strips together and smell them as one composition.
02If one note dominates, pull that strip slightly farther away. If one disappears, bring it closer.
03When the balance feels right, use that relationship as your guide when measuring the oils.
YOUR OUDIE BLEND
Use your strip test as the guide and measure your chosen fragrance oils to approximately 4–5 ml total.
Top up until the mixture reaches the 6–7 ml mark, leaving a little room at the top.
Secure the roller and cap, mix for 30–60 seconds, then let the blend sit for 24–48 hours so the scent can settle and develop.
Your first smell is not the final smell. Give the blend time, then wear it on pulse points and notice how it changes on skin.
